Boiler Feed Series CMHD

Domestic Pump Series CMHD is offered for boiler feed systems up to 1895 BHP. The CMHD offers a flexible solution for handling feed water. The CMHD has a floor mounted receiver that is available in Steel, Galvanized Steel, or Epoxy Lined Steel with a manhole for inspection. ASME construction or Stainless Steel are available on request. The receiver is sized for 10-minute net storage.  Units include receivers, pumps, make-up valve and overflow connection.  The pumps are controlled by a dedicated pump control on the boiler (available as optional) responding to water level change in the boiler. This maintains optimum steaming level in the boiler for maximum performance and safety.

The CMHD is offered with either the Centriflo® Series or B35 Series pump styles. The B pumps have a suction inducer to create a positive pressure at the centrifugal impeller. The feature lowers the NPSH requirement of the pump. The CMHD is available in simplex, duplex and triplex configurations. Additional pumps are available on request. Water make up uses a Float switch and Solenoid valve with “Y” strainer to add make-up water on low level.  Tempering the added cold water with the hot condensate in the receiver minimizes the danger of thermal shock to the boiler.

All pumps are bronze fitted with bronze case wear rings and stainless steel shafts.
